Haus Kammern is a beautifully restored traditional wooden home on a gentle hillside with impressive views of the Bregenzerach river and mountains. It has 2 spacious, self-catering apartments, each spread out over the entire floor of the house. The spaces are completely private and have their own charming style.

Egg is in the heart of the Bregenz Forest. It is also the largest village in the region. You’ll find all conveniences, such as grocery stores, bakeries, shopping, restaurants, swimming pool, hiking & biking trails and a bus stop in less than a 10-minutes’ walk.
Most of the the Bregenz Forest’s top ski resorts are 15-30 minute’s drive.
Lake Constance, Germany or Switzerland just 30 minutes.
In summer, the nearby alpine meadows of Schetteregg are excellent for biking or hiking. In winter, it’s a perfect little ski area for young families. The area also offers great snow shoe or winter hiking trails.

The Wälder or locals, are loyal to their customs. Each village has its own dialect, traditions and special ways of doing things. They’re a proud people with a certain stubbornness. The saying, “You can take a Wälder out of the forest but you can’t take the forest out of the Wälder….” says it all.

To appreciate the Bregenz Forest, you need to adopt to the pace of the area. The secret is patience and to slow down. This region will sneak up on you. It’s very straight forward.
